The Effect and Interaction between Gibberellin and N - Dimethyl Amino Succinamic Acid on the Growth of Raphanus Sativus L.

Abstract

|
Effect and interaction of B-9 (Alar: N-dimethylamino succinamic acid) and gibberellin (GA) on growth of Raphanus Sativus L. ´Chukhwan (20 days radish)´ and ´Chukjang (40 days radish)´ were tested.
The results were summarized as follow.
1. GA promoted the top growth and bolting of radish ´Chukhwan´, but didn´t promote its root growth. B-9 retarded the top growth and bolting, it promoted the root growth considerably.
2. For top growth of radish ´Chukjang´, B-9 had similiar effect to ´Chukhwan´ at the early growing stage. Top growth of late growing stage and root growth had no great difference respectively.
3. For radish ´Chukjang´, the application of GA after treating B-9 accelerated leaf growth as much as what GA alone did in the early growing stage.
The application of GA enlarged leaf growth, otherwise the treatment of B-9 inhibited the leaf elongation, and that an antagonism between the two chemicals was observed on radish.
The root growth with the treatment of B-9 and GA resulted in no significant on the radish ´Chukjang´.
